All manners of weirdness and great stuff.

Crown announced the release of the series of miniature dioramas complete with functioning train line.  The series is titled th Minirama series.

The scale is much smaller that N gauge.
I'd say it's a bit bigger than Z, but not by much.  The trains don't run on track, but go around with a pully system under the diorama.  That slit you see between the "tracks" is where the train hooks up to the pully.

Roland's 3D Plotter -- The MDX-20/15.

According to the literature at the booth, this is an example of what can be achieved using this system.  Yes, the object looks rather crude considering how large it is but--

--since this is the master, it's easy to understand how that would be.  Pretty neat.  I wonder how well it would work doing the opposite--making something large into something smaller...

I believe these are close-up's of Hobby Boss's 1/48 T-34/85, and supposedly this is how the kit looks like if built straight out of the box.

This is pretty damn amazing.  Too bad these guys haven't come around to produce 1/72 scale kits...
